Frequently asked questions

The essentials for preparing an optical RFQ and reviewing manufacturability.

Send the optical drawing, a STEP or IGES model where available, the coating specification, quantities and the inspection documentation you require. If a requirement is still open, note it in the message.

Yes. The RFQ review is the right place to raise tolerance, substrate, coating and inspection questions. Any assumptions are stated in the quotation so both teams work from the same baseline.

Share the expected prototype quantity and annual production volume. The manufacturing route and inspection plan can then be matched to the program stage.

Provide the wavelength range, angle of incidence, polarization, target reflectance or transmission, environmental exposure and any laser damage requirement. A coating curve is preferred when available.

Documentation is defined with the order and can include dimensional inspection, surface quality, coating verification and material traceability. The quotation will confirm the agreed inspection plan.

Tell us your confidentiality requirement with the first message. An NDA can be reviewed before technical files are exchanged.
